People all know the term “care farm”, where people can care for animals with a therapeutic purpose for them. It can be done through a visit, day stay or short stay.
Based on this principle, we wish to go one step further in cooperation with animal promotion vzw! We go for a care shelter. A small-scale asylum for cats, dogs and small pets that can go to the asylum of animal action and that are cared for by visitors and temporary residents of the care home.
The guidance of the people in their personal trajectory and the combination with animals is done by our experts and in collaboration with animal promotion vzw. Housing the animals, … happens in their shelter.
There would also be a small pet shop attached and accommodation for people with their own pet who are temporarily looking for an emergency solution.
To have the necessary budgets to realize this project we need:
- A building with a garden that we can renovate for temporary accommodation for people and extra asylum space for the animals. For this you can already donate!
- Cooperation with city and province. We are already on many councils for this, …

We hope to be able to realize this project quickly and to bring people and animals together. As well as doing the necessary pioneering work in the field of animal shelters but also therapy work with animals for humans.
